Flaxpro is a combination of rumen protected fat and a concentrated source of omega-3 fatty acids from linseed. Flaxpro is manufactured using unique Volac technology designed to ensure high digestibility of the product while supplying essential omega-3 fatty acids to the animal.

Research has demonstrated the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids for improving reproduction of dairy cows. Up to 55 % of embryos are estimated to die in early gestation and omega-3 fatty acids can play a key role in reducing this loss.

Flaxpro is an energy-dense product (23 MJ/kg DM).

• Flaxpro can help reduce negative energy balance in early lactation when cows are unable to eat sufficient energy to meet their requirements for maintenance and milk production.
• Optimal milk production requires a balance of nutrients; Flaxpro also contains high quality protein to help balance the additional energy.

Improves Fertility

• Flaxpro is a unique source of functional omega-3 fatty acids.
• Omega-3 fatty acids reduce production of prostaglandins and help ensure survival of embryos and maintenance of pregnancy.
• Flaxpro helps reduce negative energy balance in early lactation. Cows in negative energy balance (losing body condition score) have much poorer fertility than cows gaining or maintaining body condition.
• Fat in Flaxpro increases production of progesterone, the essential hormone for pregnancy.
